Szabolcs Janik

Szabolcs Janik earned his degrees from Corvinus University of Budapest. He completed his undergraduate studies in Political Science at the Faculty of Social Sciences in 2009, followed by a master’s degree in Political Science in 2012. In the same year, he also obtained a master’s degree in International Economy and Business from the Faculty of Economics as an international economic analyst.
From 2012, he worked as a macroeconomic analyst at the Institute for Public Policy Research, where he examined domestic and international macroeconomic trends, with a particular focus on Hungarian fiscal and monetary policy aspects, and prepared background materials for decision-making. In the second half of 2014, he joined the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade, where he conducted analytical work relevant to Hungary’s foreign and economic policy ambitions.
Subsequently, he spent nearly a year and a half at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, where he analyzed reports from Hungarian diplomatic missions for ministry decision-makers and participated in coordinating projects initiated by his organizational unit. During his tenure in public administration, he successfully passed both the basic and professional-level civil service exams.
Currently, he is pursuing his doctoral studies at the Doctoral School of Political Science at Corvinus University of Budapest.
